There are many possibilities for corporate
events of all sizes and budgets. You can reward a group or team for
a job well done by giving them a relaxing trip aboard a cruising sailboat
for a half-day or evening. Entertain a special client in a novel
and relaxing way, and even mix in some business if you feel the need.
Instead of an average "field day," take a group out for a day sail on our
fleet and teach them some new skills.
For both fun AND productivity, opt for
a team-building event. We can accommodate up to 24 participants on
our fleet of evenly matched Beneteau First 21.0 sloops. We start
out with brief orientation on basic sailing theory, and emphasize the team
dynamic involved in operating a sailing vessel safely and efficiently.
Then, some basic training on the water before lunch. The afternoon
is spent doing any of several activities - racing, flotilla sails, extended
sail training, etc. We provide instructors for each boat as part
of these events. For half day events, we simply skip the lunch break
and shorten the basic training and activity times proportionally.
In our team building events, your team/s
will work on skills and issues such as communication, trust, team ethics,
and leadership. Operating a sailboat safely and efficiently requires
much of what is required in the the workplace, whether it's a typical corporate
office environment, an institutional setting, or field work, travel and
telecommuting. Our extensive experience
in handling large numbers of people on tight schedules, coupled with an
ideal
sailing environment, ensure your team will have the best possible event.
If weather gets in the way, we reschedule.
